Brad Hoyt was named the Head Men's Basketball at Quincy University in April of 2024 after spending 14 years at John Wood Community College as the Head Men's Basketball Coach, Director of Athletics, and yes, the Dean of Students. 

During his illustrious career at John Wood, he accumulated a record of 269-156 that included multiple numerous trips to the NJCAA National Tournament including a trip to the NJCAA National Championship Game.

His awards are numerous including Midwest Athletic Conference Coach of the Year, District 16 Coach of the Year, Region 24 Coach of the Year, and Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Coach of the Year.

During our talk, Coach Hoyt demonstrated why he has been so successful as a coach and a leader. His ability to build trust with his staff, players, recruits, peers and the community is phenomenal. His humble approach to coaching and leading makes him one of the most respected coaches in any environment he is in. He's also a great husband, father and friend. Enjoy!
